MISSION
To provide charitable, educational and community development resources and activities for Dover and surrounding communities
HISTORY
As the previous, historic Dover Grade School was given to the community from Mission Valley USD #330 in 2004 - it has remained a Community Center for locals to gather and enjoy community fellowship. Dover is located at the eastern edge of the Flint Hills on the Native Stone Scenic Byway - K4 Highway. The Community Center is the heart of our annual Dover Heritage Day, which takes place the 3rd Saturday in June to celebrate the heritage of our wonderful town of Dover.
LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS
The Dover Community Center is a proud participant in the state of Kansas' Community Empowerment program. Through this program, DOVER PRIDE, was able to support our community by adding our new playground in 2017!
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Check out our local Sommerset Café at the corner of Douglas Road and K4 Highway, as you're coming into town! Famous for "ABC's Best Pie in America" challenge in 2008, which won first place - you won't want to miss it! Trust us, it is still the best pie in America, today. Also, don't worry you'll always have a seat at a table in the Sommerset Café - all are welcome in our town of Dover.
Echo Cliff Park is just a few miles southwest of Dover. A local, beautiful view of Mission Creek with picnic tables to enjoy a nice meal in the country.
